The bridge is played by four people with a packet of 52
cards, without joker. Two players form a pair and they compete with the
other pair.
The goal is to acquire the most possible tricks. In a pack of cards there
are 13 cards of each suits. The two pairs together can take 13 tricks. One
trick is made of four cards, one from each players. The player who put the
biggest card take the trick. The order of rank of the four suits: club,
diamond, heart, spade. The order of rank of the 13 cards in any suit: 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack/knave, queen, king, ace. The four player are
marked by the four cardinal points: north, east, south and west.
The course of the game
The 52 cards are distibuted clockwise one by one among
the four players. The game is consisted of two main parts: the first part
is the bidding while the second part is the playing.
At the end of bidding one of the two pairs claims to make a particular number
of tricks (in any case more than the other pair). They claim this task by
a particular trump suit or maybe without it. So one of the pairs have to
claim to take between 7 and 13 tricks.
The pair get a particular number of points if they make
the contract. If they make more tricks they get more points but if they
fail to make the contract they get minus points.
The rules of the game
If a player calls out a suit the others must follow with the same suit in that trick.
You don’t have to put your biggest card to the trick, you may put any card of that suit.
If we don’t have any card in the called suit, we may put any other card.
That player who put the biggest card of the called suit or the biggest trump take the trick.
That player who won the last trick must call a new card.
